Faith Salutes

I have added a new blog, Faith Salutes, to my list of Friends' Blogs.

Who is Faith? Faith is a friend of my wife. Does this imply that Faith is not my friend. It is true that we have never been out, either solo or in a group, for lunch, coffee, or to visit a bookstore (things which normally constitute friendship with me). What should I say, then? That Faith is not my friend? False. When you're married, your wife's friend is your friend, too. Such is the logic of marriage.

Faith is funny; her blog makes me laugh. Faith is carefree; I must always remind myself that she is actually older than I am. Faith is married; I was at the wedding but was outside with Stella and didn't witness the marriage. Faith is political; she has ambition and ambition is impressive. Faith is all of these things and much more.

Visit Faith Salutes today.

I almost can't wait to move just so I can witness the genuis that is Jamie. And thanks a lot for getting me hooked on another blog: Expresso Pundit or what have you...and you are OLDER than me, for the record...

I call you friend, cause you are my friend's husband, yeah that works. And I always read your blog, double whipped and salted.

little did I know, Magister, that when I gleefully accepted Book 2 of the Iliad I was simultaneously accepting THE DREAD CATALOGUE OF SHIPS. Beware of Hansonius bearing gifts. They may be long and full of ancient Greek names which you will be utterly unable to pronounce. I tried to hand off the task to the unsuspecting Emma Debuss (sp?) but when she began tiring before she even hit the ships, I knew that the ships had come back to haunt me.

You should have come to the Iliathon, though. It was great. Nerdtastic. and amazing.

Gratias ago tibi, McCaleb. I had heard you chatting with your chums about the catalogue and assumed you could handle it. I'm sure it went fine.

By the way, did you finish The Place of the Lion?

my "chums." haha. Yes, I reckon everything went fine. It was actually fun trying to pronounce all those ridiculous names.

Place of the Lion--I actually haven't finished it yet, not for lack of motivation but simply because it's a short book and I'm savoring it. I've been looking forward to reading it for a long time, so I figured it would be depresing to finish it all in one go...I'm funny like that. But I always feel a sense of loss if I finish a book too quickly. I'll probably be done tonight or tomorrow though...and will be presently prepared to announce the final verdict...

silence in the blogosphere.
Hansonius has left us here
Languishing in lack of wit
All for want of him and it.
...(the blog.)

Even my rhyme languishes in the vacuum which is Hansoniana.

You had all of our hopes up, blogging so faithfully for--what was it? two days?

I know, I know, busy teacher life and all that...but don't run away forever...

I'm actually sitting in my living room listening to Faith of Faith Salutes chat with my wife. Now I'll go lie (lay?) down and read the Grand Inquisitor. Normally my life is not so fast paced. I had a busy weekend, though, assembling IKEA shelving.
