Calamity

The monsoon season has brought a minor disaster to the Domus Hansoniana. View the pictures at my wife's blogsite(look for Tuesday, June 25). And here I am, thousands of miles away, able to do nothing...

"An adventure is an inconvenience rightly considered. And inconvenience is an adventure wrongly considered."
~G. K. Chesterton, "All Things Considered"

...I think that's meant to be helpful. I'll admit, though, I'm still working on how renegade roofing and swamped carpet contributes to possible adventures...

At the very least it contributes to getting new flooring.

Chesterton is right: without inconvenience there would be no human/cultural development.

I think I owe some of the best things in my life to inconvenience.
